Stocked items can be picked up from our office at 14A Levanswell Rd, Moorabbin VIC 3189.
For items that we order in, there may be a delay in pickup times, or the goods may be available direct from one of our supplier's warehouses nationally. Just give us a call and we'll see if we can help! Should you select “local pick-up” on submission of your order, your products shall be available for collection Monday – Friday between 08:00 and 18:00 (AEST). Pickups over the weekend are also available from 9am-5pm. Please contact us by phone to arrange weekend pickups.
Where We Deliver
Better Hardware can deliver to practically anywhere in Australia via couriers and Australia Post. Unless indicated as free shipping, the cost of delivery is calculated using the size and weight of your order and the postcode it is going to. This cost is shown during the checkout process and included in the total price of your order.
Your Contact Details
We require a mobile phone number which will be used to confirm the order details for the courier to arrange delivery . If you do not provide a contact number, an attempt will be made to deliver your item however your delivery may be delayed.
Provided the items are in stock, your goods will be dispatched within two (2) working days from us receiving your payment authorization and cleared funds. We usually dispatch same day from Melbourne for orders placed up until 2pm. If we are temporarily out of stock or stock is insufficient to cover your order we will advise you by email or phone of the expected shipment date.
Delivery times may vary dependant on the city/country of destination and the method of freight selected. Most goods are dispatched direct from our Melbourne shop. Delivery to most Australian eastern seaboard capital cities is usually within five (5) working days of receipt of cleared funds. Western Australia deliveries can take from seven (7) – ten (10) working days of receipt of cleared funds. Don't forget you can track your delivery with the tracking number provided to you via email once payment has been cleared and the item has shipped.

Urgent Orders - Same Day or Next Day Delivery
Guaranteed Same Day Delivery, Same Day Dispatch and Guaranteed Next Day Delivery services are available in Melbourne and are applicable for items in stock. For Guaranteed Same Day Delivery, Same Day Dispatch or Guaranteed Next Day Delivery Orders, Please Contact Us By PHONE before 11am to so we can arrange the courier or our team to deliver. Guaranteed Same Day or Next Day Services usually incur additional courier charges. If your order is super urgent, please contact us before ordering. As we have dispatch points Australia-wide, chances are we can either deliver the goods to you from a local dispatch point. Express courier services are also available.
Order Email Updates
After ordering online, you will receive an email confirmation from eWAY containing your order details. We will normally confirm receipt of your order within a few minutes of ordering.
Risk in products
Risk in the products passes to you on delivery. We do not accept liability for any loss, theft or damage to the products after delivery.
Goods damaged in transit
Goods are packed with quality packing materials and leave our warehouse in brand new condition. This does not rule out the possibility of damage or loss as a result of transporting the goods. Although every effort is taken by our couriers to handle the items with care, the couriers and Better Hardware are not liable for lost, stolen or damaged goods during delivery. For protection against transit damage, including damage by the courier, we highly recommend you obtain transit insurance upon checkout after purchasing your item. In any event of damaged goods please contact us by phone within 24 hours of receipt of the goods, by phone or email and we’ll attempt to resolve the matter for you as quickly and easily as possible.
As we use couriers or Austalia Post to deliver our goods, most Australian orders can be tracked online. If you would like to view the status of your delivery and track it online then please contact us by replying to one of the emails we have sent you asking for the consignment number for your order (simply type 'consignment number' or 'tracking number' in the email and we will know what you mean). We will reply with your consignment number and other details pertaining to the delivery where you can check number to view the delivery status.
It is important that you verify your information is correct, especially the address. If the address provided is incorrect and the package is returned, you may be billed for the additional shipping charges in order for your delivery to reach you. You agree to this by placing an order with us, we reserve the right to pass on applicable charges to you if you provide wrong address information. As noted above, we also require a contact phone number (mobile preferably), which may be used by the courier to arrange delivery.
Shipping and Handling Fees
Unless otherwise stated as "Free Shipping", all shipping and handling fees are to be paid for by you. These fees are stated in the product detail page for each item, or in the check out.
All overseas orders are shipped via Standard Sea or Airmail. As there is no tracking available for these shipping services Better Hardware takes no responsibility for any missing parcels. Orders sent via Airmail take approximately 7-14 days and Seamail can take anything from 1 to 3 months. If your order hasn't arrived in a reasonable amount of time, please contact us so we can make enquiries with our couriers or Australia Post.
